Testimonials

Approximately one year ago it became apparent to our family that our mother Lorene Cockrill was going to require 24 hour care. Mother was not receptive to the idea. She couldn’t understand the difference between assisted living and nursing home. Due to her being adamant, a decision was made to have live-in home 24 hour care.

However, I anticipated future need for assisted living so I researched local facilities by speaking with numerous people including going to each one, asked many questions of staff RE: Medical Attention, activities, meals, etc. I was shown various types of rooms. I also talked with numerous residents. I also observed the fact they were out of their rooms most of the time and dressed in day wear not gowns and sleep wear.

I was very impressed with all the staff and the answers to my questions. My mother’s caregiver passed away some weeks ago so the family went to Desert Gardens and my mother was accepted. I am still impressed; staffs are always available with a smile. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the residents are happy and such a delight. Mother wishes she had gone from the beginning.

This is my story. I am out of state and I am at peace now. Thank You! - Linda Woods
